Repair Structural Issues
Restorative dental care includes any procedure that aims to restore the function and appearance of your smile.
Our dentists can help restore your smile and oral health by repairing structural issues, such as damaged or missing teeth.
Depending on your issue, the dentists at Hampton Dental Clinic will determine the right restorative treatment option for you.
TMJ Disorder Treatment
The temporomandibular joint (or TMJ) is a hinge that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull. The disorder of this joint can cause a host of issues with your jaw and the muscles in your face, including painful symptoms. Our dentists can test for, diagnose and provide a treatment plan for TMJ Disorder.
Dental Bridges
Bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements that are bonded to existing teeth or dental implants to replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth and the bite between upper and lower teeth.
Dental Fillings
At Hampton Dental Clinic, we use composite (tooth-coloured) fillings to repair a cavity or tooth damage, like a crack. These fillings can withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing, and can be used on front and back teeth.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling. They are custom-made in a dental laboratory and are then permanently cemented to the tooth as a single piece.
Full & Partial Dentures
Dentures are removable artificial teeth used to replace one or multiple missing teeth (referred to as partial dentures), or a whole jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). Dentures allow patients with missing teeth to restore their facial structure, talk and eat properly, and eliminate potential problems caused by gaps.
Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Gum disease is an infection of mouth tissues, including the gums, gingiva, alveolar bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament. If it is caught early on, preventive therapy will be recommended. Other treatment methods depend on the type and severity of the disease.
Root Canals
A root canal is a procedure where your dentist removes diseased blood vessels, nerves and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By removing the decay and bacteria, your dentist can help halt the spread of an infection and prevent the need for a dental extraction.
Same-Day Restorations
Using CEREC® technology, our dentists and dental team can create and place porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays in a single dental appointment to help restore your smile. No impressions, no temporaries – just natural coloured tooth, metal-free restorations in one visit.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are hollow, artificial teeth that are placed over a decayed or damaged tooth to restore its shape, size and colour. Dental crowns help strengthen and change the appearance of a broken tooth that may be lost. Crowns are strong and are made from different materials, including porcelain and metal. They look and function like natural teeth, and can last for 10 years. By repairing structural problems such as damaged or missing teeth using a dental crown, we can change your smile's appearance.
